Contra Costa Jewish Community Center

2019 Community Impact Grants Program

The Contra Costa Jewish Community Center envisions a vibrant and growing Contra Costa Jewish community fueled by inclusive, inspiring, and engaging programs, experiences, and connections. Our goal is to work in partnership with community-based organizations to strengthen the Contra Costa County Jewish community.

The CCJCC 2019 Community Impact Grants Program – the first round of grantmaking conducted by the CCJCC — will provide charitable grants to organizations that directly serve the Contra Costa County Jewish community. Grants totaling $60,000 will be awarded. Individual grants will range from $1,000 to $5,000. An organization may apply for one or two grants, the total of which cannot exceed $5,000. The CCJCC will not make multi-year grants.

Grants will be awarded for programs that support services that address an identifiable need in the Contra Costa County Jewish community. The CCJCC will focus its support on programs that positively impact members of the Jewish community ranging from toddlers to young adults and families. Grants will not be awarded for general operating purposes.

Eligible awardees include only organizations identified by the Internal Revenue Service as 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. Grant applications must be submitted by 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Grants will be awarded by June 30, 2019. Grant awards must be expended no later than June 30, 2020. Grant recipients will be eligible to apply for a grant in 2020 should the CCJCC conduct a round of grantmaking that year.
