Collaboration with JCC East Bay
The JCC East Bay is collaborating with the Contra Costa JCC to create new programming east of the tunnel. This programming area stretches far and wide, including the Tri-Valley. Our goal is to bring the JCC experience to you by hosting pop-up events in your neighborhood and providing resources that can be used anywhere. To stay up to date on our collaborative events and resources, consider adding our Google calendar.
We are excited to serve a new community and welcome feedback and suggestions on our programs. To learn more or to provide your input, email Alystar, our Public Programs Manager, or give her a call at 510.848.0237, ext. 118.
While our in person programs are canceled for the time being, we are glad to provide the two virtual programs we had planned for the Contra Costa community. You can find JCC East Bay's other Passover resources here.
Crafting the Passover Seder
March & April 2020
In this downloadable arts-based workshop for all ages, craft modern interactive Passover objects, inspired by the traditional texts and our own unique perspectives, that connect us to the seder experience, to our own sense of freedom, and to each other. Designed by Atiq: Jewish Maker Institute in collaboration with Gold Herring.
Jewish Learning with Project Zug
The JCC is purchasing a Project Zug subscription for the entire Contra Costa community! Enjoy community building and Jewish learning on your own schedule. Choose the subject you find most interesting, get matched with someone else in Contra Costa, receive an email once a week with very short Jewish texts and discussion questions, and discuss them with your partner (on the phone, over Skype, or in person) to learn together. Coming to you this Shavuot.
