Facility Use Policy
All facility use must be approved by a CCJCC representative, and a deposit must be received by the Center’s office to hold a reservation.
FACILITY RENTAL POLICY
Rentals must be approved by a Contra Costa Jewish Community Center (CCJCC) representative, and a deposit must be received by the Center’s office to hold a reservation.
1. The CCJCC reserves the right to change the meeting rooms when necessary.
2. Arrangements with youth groups must be scheduled by an adult sponsor, who must be present at all functions and meetings.
3. Renters are responsible for the proper care of the facility and the supervision of occupants during the rental period. Furniture, fixtures or equipment may not be moved from any room without advance arrangements. Renters are responsible for any loss or damage that may be incurred.
4. CCJCC maintenance personnel are authorized to provide only those items specifically listed on the contract.
5. The Jewish Community Center assumes no responsibility for loss of property brought into the building by individuals or organizations.
6. The Jewish Community Center also assumes no responsibility for the opinions or philosophies of groups renting the facilities.
7. Users must comply with the following regulations governing use of rooms:
a. Smoking is not permitted in the facility.
b. Plans for decoration or posting of notices must be submitted in advance for approval.
c. Gambling and/or the sale of alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
d. Music must be kept at a volume level that does not disturb other users of the Center.
e. Because of Jewish Dietary restrictions, pork products (ham, pepperoni, etc.) and shellfish (shrimp, crab, etc.) are not permitted in the facility.
8. Ongoing users shall take out and keep in force during the term of its occupancy of the premises public liability and property damage insurance, insuring against liability for the use of or conditions of the premises, with limits in the amount of $1,000,000 naming the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center, Inc. as an insured under said policy. Such insurance shall be primary coverage. The user shall deliver a copy of said policy to the CCJCC and shall direct the insurer to notify the CCJCC of all failures to pay premiums.
9. Organizations or individuals using the facility agree to save and hold harmless the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center, Inc. from all claims of bodily injury and/or property damage occurring on or about the premises. The certificate of insurance must name the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center, Inc. as additionally insured.
10. Facility use fees are subject to review and modification by the Board of Directors of the Contra Costa Jewish Community Center, Inc.
