21st Annual Contra Costa Jewish Book and Arts Festival November 8 - 15 The Contra Costa Jewish Book & Arts Festival will celebrate its 21st year with an outstanding line-up of performers and authors, including: Betsy Salkind, a top comedienne who has appeared on The Tonight Show (November 8) Brian Copeland, comedian and KGO talk show host who will present his one-man show Not A Genuine Black Man (November 10) Five Jewish screenwriters who will speak of their experiences as "Hollywood Heebes" (November 15) Fred Rosenbaum, who will speak about the history of the Bay Area Jewish community. The Festival will also showcase prominent local authors, including psychiatrist Hugh Winig, children’s author Jeryl Abelmann, Nancy Litvin, Barbara Brooker, and journalist Carol Pogash. Don’t miss the annual Kristallnacht commemoration featuring Michael Berenbaum, the former Director of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation.   For a brochure or more information, email riva@jfed.org.
